January Prayers

January 1

Father our Abba, the great I AM, we humbly come before Your throne as we begin a new year. Oh may this be the year we do not falter. That we would not desire to sin. That we would make a covenant with You and not break our promises. In the name of Jesus we ask.

January 2

Lord forgive us for our unbelief. For questioning Your faithfulness. Help us Lord to remain faithful to Your leading. In Jesus’ name we pray.

January 3

Sovereign God, help us to accept that we are all different. That each of us are given our own special gift. Oh that we would be content in whatever anointing You place us on. In Jesus’ name we pray.

January 4

We sing praises to You this morning as You are the God upon the Throne. We honor and exalt You and You alone. Accept these mere voices as a token of our love. Amen

January 5

Our great physician, remind us that there are precious jewels that can be found in the midst of sickness, sorrow and suffering. You are in the midst, Your hand of healing is on us. Your mercy encamps around us. Your love carries us. Thank You Lord, thank You.

January 6

Lord You have given us ALL things, and yet we complain for we are never satisfied. Father forgive us as we cower to our flesh and not bow down to You.

January 7

God, our God... to think about You being our God can be too much to grasp. To read that You have said You will be our God, we a sinful bunch. Your love, mercies and grace overtake us Lord. Thank You Lord, thank You.

January 8

Father we know that when we die we will be with You in heaven. Help us to understand that we have a bit of heaven now, for You are with us here on earth. For You have sent The Holy Spirit to be with us. Amen

We give You praise of thanksgiving for even in our moans, even in our wordless prayers You hear, You understand what we are trying to say. For there are times Lord we don’t even know what to pray or even how to pray, and yet You reach down from Heaven and mercifully know exactly what we mean.

January 18
